$1 billion worth of design risk mitigated
The client, a leading energy firm, aimed to improve their assets’ lifecycle with digital solutions to boost efficiency, cut costs, and lower risks. Our experts implemented a project digital twin that enabled $1 billion worth of design discrepancies to be identified and rectified, significantly reducing execution risk. Additionally, we identified, evaluated and developed various operational digital transformation initiatives that could generate combined operational savings of $96 million per year.
23% reduction in maintenance costs using AI-driven predictive maintenance
For a North Sea client, we optimised the planning and execution of maintenance activities across their assets, integrating multiple datasets and deploying data-driven solutions to enable a 23% reduction in maintenance intensity. By implementing a digital twin, we enhanced work execution and eliminated the need for over 500 site visits annually. We also streamlined processes, empowered decision makers with real-time insights, and established a centre of excellence to support users, maintain data integrity, and sustain value delivery.
Creating intelligent digital twins for offshore assets
Wood led a programme to digitise three offshore assets in the Gulf of Mexico, delivering the trusted data foundations to support the transformation of operations. We performed over 5,000 scans of the assets and extracted data from over 70,000 documents and drawings. This data was then transformed, integrated and validated to deliver an intelligent dataset for each asset that formed the basis of the client’s digital twin environment.
Securing critical energy supplies
As a Digital Consultant for a European Greenfield project, our experts delivered a robust digital ecosystem to enhance operational excellence and safeguard the reliable delivery of gas to the national grid. We achieved this by developing an overall system architecture and integrating 10 different systems, including GIS, asset twin, and process twin.
Subsequently, we implemented a robust cybersecurity management system that covered both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). Our success was driven by innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
